The Law Firm of Cullen,
Haskins, Nicholson & Menchetti, P.C. was
originally founded by George J. Cullen in 1962 when he was a sole
practitioner. In 1976 Charles G. Haskins, Jr. joined the
firm.
He was followed by, Patrick B. Nicholson in 1979 and David B.
Menchetti in 1986. John W. Powers joined the firm in 2001, Jose Rivero in 2004, Anita M. DeCarlo in 2006 and Pat Durkin in November 2008. Vito D. DeCarlo serves of coursel to the firm.
Each member of our firm has outstanding credentials, having been or currently serving on boards affiliated with the American Association for Justice, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Workplace for Injury Litigation Group and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Two of our partners, Chuck Haskins and Dave Menchetti have served as President of the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association.
We are also proud to have played a role advising the Illinois AFL-CIO in the drafting and enactment of the changes to the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act. The law, effective in 2005, makes Illinois the best place in the United States for the protection of workers who may get injured on the job. Since we helped write the law, we know every aspect of it. Our first hand knowledge of the law ensures our clients the highest quality representation. Our goal has always been to remain in the forefront of the effort to protect the rights of the injured workers.
Our practice is concentrated solely in the representation of injured workers. Our philosophy is the
